Royal Lands
Valley Beach This place is paradise. Snow capped mountains surround the north, west, and eastern sides of this mighty kingdom and to the south is a picturesque Caribbean blue ocean. White sands border the sea and tie its strong tranquility together with harmonious colors. The seasons in this valley are as such. Winters are cold, crisp, and sometimes harsh. The beaches frost over, blocks of ice wash to shore and snow falls almost every other day. Food is still bountiful and water is never in short supply despite the freezing temperatures. Spring brings back life to the land, trees blossom with life and the forests start their chatter once more. This season is the season of love and most often is the time for mares and stallions to take their one another unto themselves. Summer is hot but most often mild. The breezes from the snow capped mountains helping it to stay relatively cool in these months of heat. Autumn is the time when the land shows its true colors to the equines living here. Gold’s, orange’s, yellow’s, reds, and all the variations of these warm colors spread themselves across the forests and mountainsides. The beauty of the changes in this land of the Light King and Queen never gets old. There is always something new to see or new to find. Always a new adventure to seek and forever there is a place to call home.
Paradise’s King: Paradise’s Queen: The Heir: The Heiress:
Oath Valley The sun pours down from the heavens upon a vast and great land ruled by a stallion that seems to have been kissed by Apollo himself. Mountain springs cool the land as they snake softly through the landscape and leak into the small lake at the northern most side of the herd. The lake itself is clear as a bell and burns like molten gold in the dying light of the twilight sun and in the cool of the night shimmers like polished silver. Its edges boarded on the southern side by a large prairie with clover and hay blend grasses that thrive in the cool temperatures of spring, flourish in summer, prosper in fall and last throughout winter. The food is forever bountiful and the water cool and crisp in every season. The streams brim with minerals and along some shores rare medicinal herbs grow that can help suppress colic and many other ailments of the flesh. Here, when the laughing brooks quiet themselves, is the lake that is the life of the land… of the herd. The small lake is clean and clear showing the heath of the land and all that reside here. Waterfowl reside here along with the equines in the serene calm of the herd and everyone coexists without much harm or confrontation. The liquid body must empty at some point and that is what had created the river that flows from here to the land of Hakumie and feeds into his kingdoms rivers. Along the river, the mountains draw in as the canal weaves thought them in intricate twists and turns, dips and cascading falls until is empties into the sea. The mountains themselves are treacherous to climb but those who do will find it to be a heaven. There, upon high ridges of the mountains, the grass grows sweeter and the water much more refreshing and rich. Many who have ventured here often wish not to leave for the wealth that is aloft in this land is most alluring to the senses.
There is one spot that the king of this place as reserved for himself and the queen that is upon a secluded ledge set so that he might see his kingdom. It is a private spot that he alone knows of and those that do stumble upon it are quickly ushered from the holding. Here he and his mate may speak in private and take refuge in the small cavern in the glade that overlooks the whole of his domain. Flowering vines and reeds cover the entrance to the shallow cave keeping wondering eyes from seeing what might transpire in the nights and evenings. A spring whispers at the edge of the glade and tells the royals that they might reside here for as long as they desire.
Plains of Doubt These plains hold the keys to your inner most fears. Wild creatures of all sorts fill the area, howling and screeching, not only at night but also during the day. Merciless thunderstorms and fires rule the land. The terrors of the night also seem to play a large part in this fear factor in that, in the twilight hours, all manners of detestable creatures scurry from their hidey-holes and into the world of horror. There are a set of mountains that provide shelter for these horrid creatures and break off effctivley the equines that rule this land from the nearest source of light, other than the sun. The shadows hide unknown creatures that will not hesitate to strike at one's flesh, and deliver a dose of deadly poison. The sun bakes down from above, glaring, causing all who roam about without the life sustaning water to die a slow and rather painful death. So, beware, this land, though beautiful to the outlanders, is a death trap to those who don't know it's deadly tricks.

This land is made of both the foothills and the low rising mountain whose peak is composed of smooth rock. This place is no secret to those who have the pleasure of stumbling upon it, for its peak can be spotted from miles around. The land of Stone Mountain is dotted with hilly fields and meadows filled with red clover and alfalfa. Water steams throughout this breathtaking land and is never in short supply. One could not go so far as three miles without stumbling upon a stream or brook of some sort. Most all of Stone Mountain is covered in forestland. Within the forests apple, pear, and nut trees are bountiful. Shelter is never an issue for with this mountain comes natural caves and overhangs. However, with this paradise come its dangers. The winters are often severe and unpredictable. Snowfall can be light and barely cover the ground. Then the next day can bring a blizzard. Rain is the same way. A light mist can come upon the land and water the plants a nature sees fit. Then the next day all hell can break loose. Flashfloods can ensue from the storms and sweep equines away, drowning them in an instant. On this mountain, Mother Nature is never to be taunted or reckoned with. She in the end is the true Queen of this terra.
However, don’t let Nature scare you from this seventh heaven as She wants all her children to feel welcomed. The Chief of this blessed land wants all to feel at home within the land of Stone Mountain as well. So can all that wish to reside within the blissful boarders of Stone Mountain.
While the name of this place hints that it may lie in the eastern seaboard, nothing could be farther from the truth. It is, in fact, situated in the wild deserts of gold and rocks of red. Mesas and hills adorn this area as it fades from the rusty reds and muted purples and blues of the desert to the verdant greens of the mountains some miles away. Carved with much skill into the side of the rocks, you may find Pueblos, a good place to bunk, or to rest. The shade from the sun is wonderful as the dirt and rock these structures are made from keep cool. Sometimes there is even a water drip, moistening the rock to cool it further. The one source of water is the massive river that carved out the canyons and flashes along the floor, carving deeper, ever deeper. Come spring, flower and plants bloom with the daily rain showers that replenish the river, making it ready to withstand the coming seasons as it starts to dwindle toward the end of fall.
The sequoia cacti are huge, and many birds pick out holes to make their homes within the limbs and walls of these cacti. If you are careful, you may be able to sample a piece of flesh from their massive, but oh so delicate plant. Come summer, when the rains have ceased, you may retreat further toward the cool shade of the mountains, finding lush grasses and glacial springs flowing freely from the ancient rocks. Fall is a wonderful time to be in Eastern Cliffs. The sun often times does not beat upon the earth and the sands are much cooler than in the summer. You often get the odd rain shower, mayhap once or twice a week, nothing to replenish the river much, but enough to revive the grasses and plants that the equines and others feed upon. Winter is brutally cold with snows and then blinding sun. If you retreat toward the mountains you only get more snow, however, if you retreat farther south, you find grass lands and Pueblos that are not set into the sides of the rocks, thus making entry slightly less difficult and providing good coverage from the snow and white sun.

Red Earth Canyon Red Earth Canyon is a vast land that is riddled with all sorts of nooks and crannies that can be used as shelter. Not many of the equines that stumble upon this land want to leave, for it is considerably safe from most of Mother Nature’s elements. Heat being the one that is easily deterred by the cool walls of the red clay that makes up this domain. Still this land is not impenetrable by the things that Nature throws at it. In the wetter seasons of the land, the rivers and streams that are woven throughout the rock and atop the land it is susceptible to flash floods that could carry an equine away in the mater of seconds and kill them. Still there are safe places to be during this time and keeping dry can be easy. All that needs to be done during heavy rainfall is to watch your footing. Despite the sometimes-frightful water, it is the freshest around, flowing right from the bowls of the Earth. It is rich in minerals and vitamins that come from the walls that close it in. Grass her isn’t near a sparse as one might think. There are places to eat ones feel on the outside of the canyon but if you travel deeper into the land and find the spring pools that feed some of the many streams and rivers there is a bountiful supply of lush tender blades. The diversity of foliage is great too as far as grasses and clover though there are not many trees within the canyon itself. A few evergreens dot the inside of this land and an oak or two may be found here in this place. There is much to be found in this land and caverns of crystal to be found and most have to be explored during the dry season when the rivers and creeks recede. Most of their entrances dwell under the water and it would be wise to never visit them during and at the beginning of the wet season. You might become trapped with no escape.
